Independent Economics Journalism, Built on Verified Data

Editorial team working at a well-lit newsroom in Northern Thailand

Forestavenuex was founded in Chiang Rai to fill a specific gap: rigorous, English-language economics reporting on Thailand that does not sacrifice accuracy for speed.

What Forestavenuex Does — and Who It Serves

We produce original economics analysis for professionals, researchers, and engaged general readers who operate in or alongside the Thai economy.

Forestavenuex publishes data-driven analysis across five economic domains: macroeconomics, business and sector news, the labor market, economic policy, and household budget conditions. Our readers include trade analysts working for regional logistics and manufacturing firms, policy researchers at universities and think tanks, international journalists who need a reliable secondary source on Thai economic data, and individual professionals whose work or investment decisions are affected by Thai economic conditions. We do not publish financial advice, investment recommendations, or predictions about asset prices. Our editorial remit is reporting and analysis: what the data show, what they do not show, and what credible economists say about the gap between the two. Readers in Bangkok, Singapore, Tokyo, London, and Bangkok's Northern counterpart — Chiang Rai — make up our core audience, a geographic spread that reflects the international reach of the Thai economy itself.

How the Editorial Team Works — Process, Values, and Honest Limits

Rigour is a practice, not a claim. Here is what it looks like in concrete terms at Forestavenuex.

Founded in 2019, Forestavenuex has published over 340 original articles, analyses, and data explainers since launch. The editorial team of six combines backgrounds in economics, statistics, and regional journalism. Every piece moves through a three-stage process: initial draft by a subject-area writer, data verification by a second team member who checks every cited figure against its primary source, and a final editorial review for clarity and proportionality of claims. We do not produce commentary disguised as analysis. When a statistic is contested — as many economic statistics are — we report the contestation. When our own analysis reaches a limit, we say so. There are things we do not cover: we do not report on individual companies' internal affairs beyond their publicly filed data, we do not publish opinion columns, and we do not cover cryptocurrency or foreign exchange trading. Economic coverage involves many variables outside any journalist's control, and we are careful not to imply certainty where the underlying data support only probability. The emerald-fresh clarity that characterises the landscape around our Chiang Rai base is an aspiration for our copy: precise, uncluttered, and honest about what lies beyond the visible horizon.

Trusted by Readers Across the Region

“When the Bank of Thailand adjusted its rate in August 2023, I needed a clear account of what the surrounding data actually said — not speculation. Forestavenuex published a 1,200-word explainer within 48 hours that my entire research team bookmarked. That kind of turnaround with that level of sourcing is genuinely rare.”
